What a great 5 days it was, too! We got there Friday and spent a few hours setting up. We went with friends and let me tell you - Susan is the god of camping! They have everything figured out so that it isn't nearly as much work as we tend to make it. I can promise you that by our next camping trip we will have a lot of the same things!
Saturday, Marty came to camp and we went swimming, hung out and all of the other things you should do while camping. (See, when you don't spend the whole time working your ass off it is easy to have fun!) We took turns making dinner, and Saturday was our night. Marty made baked potatoes and corn on the cob in the fire pit and steaks on the grill. By the way - our new grill travels just as easily as they say it does. Money well spent! The tent is another story, but I will get to that in a minute. We sat around the campfire eating s'mores and chatting. It was a great night!
The food we had all weekend was good. Susan made a really good chili and the best banana pudding ever for Friday night. Her husband made his in-freaking-credible grilled chicken. I am not even kidding you when I say that this is the best chicken ever. In addition to the steaks, we grilled kielbasa and made pasta salad.
There was lots of fishing on the boat, swimming in the pool and lake, card playing and just hanging out. Marty had to head home early because of work, and he took Alex with him. Alex gave it his best shot, but he is like his mama - not an outdoorsey person at all.
Ethan spent most of his time fishing and Christian discovered that he can make a pretty mean fire.

So the tent. The seam of our brand new - this is only the second time we have used it - tent, ripped. I am sure it will be covered by the warranty (it had better be) so it will be all good. Once we get back from vacation (we leave in 2 days) I will get it taken care of.
